Nappies For Three Months Plus
Ok if im honest this age group can sometimes be a tricky choice for parents so its important to seek advice and be clued up about nappy types before delving in to a huge pile of fluffy nappies!
When looking at cloth for a three month old please bear in mind....
Your little cloth bum to be, is now half way through the weight bracket for most size one nappies, but too small for the size 2's. So in most cases if you brought a whole pack of size one two part system, in only a matter of a few of months you may need to spend again when your little one out grows the first size.
If you are breast feeding its still important to look for leg gussets on your nappies, as with newborns they are still explosive and still have very loose poo. So the containment issue is still important.
Please dont think i am suggesting buying nappies at newborn, then 3 months and again at 6 months upwards, this would not be very cost effective!
If you have started out from birth with a reliable 2 part system or any system that works for you, they should last until at least 6 months or more if you have found a one size version you are happy with. The info below is more aimed at people wanting to start out with cloth at the three month age group.
Two Part Systems....
This doesnt mean that there is no point investing in a two part system for your three month old, two part systems are great for over night regardless of age as they can be boosted loads to cope with the amount of liquid overnight. Also if you are buying cloth nappies that you will use again for future children then this will still make them cost effective.
These nappies are available in size one and size 2 and wraps are available depending on brand in Small, Medium and Large. All the wraps below have leg gussets.
The table's below show the nappies available for this age group,

There are many other sized options that you can buy depending on weight of your baby as long as you dont mind buying the next size as they grow. The plus side of sized nappies is they can be trimmer than one size versions.
